Description
The design features the iconic Coast Guard emblem, crossed keys, and the American flag. The layout includes a patriotic border with stars and stripes, and the phrase ‘Proudly Served’ is prominently displayed. The flag exudes a strong sense of pride and honor, commemorating the service and dedication of Coast Guard veterans. As a Coast Guard veteran grommet flag, it looks great on a flagpole, a porch bracket or a living room wall. It makes a heartfelt gift for Coast Guard veterans and a Father’s Day gift or Armed Forces Day display that honors their service.
Fly It Proud for Those Who Served
- Our freedom and unity were earned by generations of heroes who stepped forward when the nation needed them.
- Every day, America’s service members stand watch so the rest of us can live safe and free. Raising this flag is a simple, visible way to thank them for their service and sacrifice.
- A meaningful gift and a lasting tribute to the veterans in your life.
How to Display a Military Flag
Displaying a flag carries real meaning in the United States, and a few basic rules of etiquette help you do it with respect.
- Never fly a military flag, or any other flag, above the U.S. flag.
- The U.S. flag holds the position of honor at its own right (the viewer’s left); no other flag should be placed to its right.
- When flown together, no other flag should be larger than the U.S. flag.
- On designated days of remembrance, lower the flag to half-staff as directed by the half-staff calendar or by proclamation of the President or your state’s Governor.
The U.S. Flag Code includes more guidelines, but these are the essentials to keep in mind.
